Javanese Prawns


Ingredients:

½ kg prawns, peeled and deveined
AJI-NO-MOTO UMAMI Seasoning
3 cloves of Garlic, minced
½ tomato, sliced
2 tbsp tomato paste
juice of 1/3 lime
1 cup of palm sugar
1 tbsp unsalted butter
2 tbsp vegetable oil
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp paprika
10 pcs Kafir lime leaves
½ cup Water
salt and pepper to taste
lime wedge for garnish
1 tsp sugar

Procedure:
  • Sauté the oil, butter & garlic on high heat until the garlic is golden brown and fragrant. 
  • Add the tomato paste and Kafir lime leaves. Stir until the paste is dissolved
  • Season with AJI-NO-MOTO UMAMI SEASONING.
  • Add the prawns and sauté until they turn orange.
  • Add the tomatoes, lime juice, salt, pepper, soy sauce and paprika.
  • Cook just until shrimps turn bright pink and curled. Serve and garnish with lime wedge dipped in sugar.
